December 6, 2008

Ink & Dagger welcomes Tattoo Artist Jeremy Sutton for the week from December 9th - 16th, 2008.  Jeremy, Russ, and our newest artist Craig Beasley worked together at Psycho Tattoo a few years ago so it’s going to be an awesome reunion.  Jeremy moved to LA over a year ago and hasn’t been home since.  He’s going to be busy with all of you who have been waiting patiently to get tattoos finished up but there’s still time for anyone who wants to get a tattoo.  Check out his portfolio in the artists section and call us for availability.

Guest Artist - Craig Beasley

November 10, 2008

The multi-talented Mr. Craig Beasley is returning for the week of November 18th thru 23rd.  Many of you who got tattooed by me back in the Psycho days will remember him.  Well since then, he moved down to Valdosta, Ga. and opened his own studio, tattooed on Warped Tour, started a clothing company, and had another couple of kids.  The good news for us is that he’s going to be making regular appearances at Ink & Dagger.  Take a look at his work and come and get tattooed! -Russ Abbott

I’d like to extend a huge thank you to Jim Beam for choosing me as a subject for their new ad campaign. This short documentary film, along with ads featuring yours truly in magazines such as Maxim, Rolling Stone, Garage, and Inked is all part of a new kind of ad campaign that the fine folks at Jim Beam are currently rolling out. Instead of telling everyone how great their product is- they want to show you with their actions by helping me and the other subjects reach the next level of success.

Collaborative Tattooing

July 11, 2008

Nate Beavers wrote the book on collaborative tattooing.  He’s done over 30 with tattooers around the country.  So when he came to Ink & Dagger for a guest spot.  I hit him up to do one with me.  It was my first experience with the collaborative process and I can’t wait to try it again.  From start to finish, Nate and I  collaborated on the concept, design, outline, shading, color scheme, and the textural details.  This is truly an original work of art by an artist that can only exist when Nate Beavers and I join forces again…
