“Malia Reynolds of Ink & Dagger Tattoo Parlour is an amazing tattoo artist.

As a girl, it is so much fun being tattooed by another girl. We talk and joke around while she is tattooing me, and before I know it, she’s done. The rapport we have established is wonderful- she makes me feel very relaxed and comfortable.

If I come in with an idea she doesn’t think will work, she let’s me know- then we work together to find a design that will work- I trust her judgment implicently. As an artist she is second to none; I have received nothing but positive feedback on all of the work she has done on me.

I would (and have) recommend her to my closest friends- or anyone else for that matter.”

The speech I should've made

October 21, 2007

Last night’s Grand Opening Party was an incredible experience for Malia and I.  The turnout was impressive despite all of the other events around town.  Thanks to all of you who came out to celebrate with us.

Towards the end of the night I stumbled through the crowd inviting everyone to come into the tent for a toast and to announce the winners of the raffle.  It was obvious to me that I was going to butcher the speech I had been planning so I opted for a quick and easy abridged version.  What follows is the speech I should’ve made-

“It took 8 months, countless sleepless nights, hours on the phone, planning, building, tearing down, painting, more painting, drawing, and tattooing- but I can proudly say that my dream, Ink & Dagger Tattoo Parlour, is now a reality.

This studio was built with the generous help of many dear friends.  To all of you who lended your time and experience I would like to officially thank you.  I honestly could not have pulled this off on my own.

Tonight, I’ve been on the receiving end of numerous complements about the general feel of the shop, it’s artists, it’s layout, and it’s vibe.  Naturally, I am happy to hear that you guys think the studio turned out great.  But lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what really makes a tattoo shop special.  For me, it’s the stories.  The countless hours of fun hanging out and tattooing new friends everyday.  I know Malia feels the same.  What I’m trying to say is that while the time for construction at Ink & Dagger is coming to a close, the time for making history is just beginning.  We are proud to invite each and every one of you back time and time again for good times and great tattoos!”

Looking for the right tattoo artist?

September 16, 2007

You’ve arrived at the website for Atlanta’s newest tattoo studio.  We’ve only been in business for a few months, but that doesn’t mean we’re short on experience.  In fact, Ink & Dagger Tattoo Parlour is the result of one man’s life-long obsession with the art of tattooing.  For 10 years, Russ Abbott has been honing his tattooing skills in some of the Atlanta area’s most highly regarded tattoo studios.  Now he is realizing his dream of opening his own tattooing establishment.  Over the years, Russ Abbott’s reputation for quality craftsmanship and creative design has earned him a dedicated and loyal following.  But one talented tattoo artist is not enough.  Russ knew that if he was going to open a truly successful tattoo studio, he would need to staff it with a team of accomplished and talented artists.

The first artist to join the Ink & Dagger family was Malia Reynolds.  She and Russ first met when she traveled from her home in California to collect a Virgin Mary tattoo from him.  The two quickly became friends and when Russ received word that Malia was moving to Atlanta, he immediately invited her to be a part of his new tattoo studio.  In the short time Malia has been in Atlanta, she has enjoyed almost immediate success.  Malia’s army of satisfied customers have been spreading the word about her all over town.

Right now, We’re inviting you to experience a refreshing change of pace from your ordinary tattoo studio.  Take the time to view our artist’s portfolios right here on this website, and when you are ready, come in and let us show you why our customers keep coming back for more.
