The multi-talented Mr. Craig Beasley is returning for the week of November 18th thru 23rd. Many of you who got tattooed by me back in the Psycho days will remember him. Well since then, he moved down to Valdosta, Ga. and opened his own studio, tattooed on Warped Tour, started a clothing company, and had another couple of kids. The good news for us is that he’s going to be making regular appearances at Ink & Dagger. Take a look at his work and come and get tattooed! -Russ Abbott

Tom Michael, AKA “Ugly” just finished up his week-long guest spot here at Ink & Dagger. We had a great time working with Tom and hanging out with his family. On his first day of work, Tom ended up tattooing a full rib panel (see photo below) on a very dedicated (possibly insane) first time tattoo client. He also did this sweet Japanese geisha tattoo while he was here. If you’re looking for an artist who excels at Japanese style tattooing, then look no further. Alright folks, we’re bringing it back. This time we’ve decided to celebrate the 4th of July Holiday by throwing our biggest “Tribute to Tradition” event ever! Starting at 11am on Friday July 4th, Russ Abbott, Jason Kelly, Shack, and Christian Ratchford will be tattooing designs from our archives of early American designs. Prices range from $50 to $100. Basically, the deal of a lifetime on tattoos that will last a lifetime. In honor of Independence Day, we are donating all of the proceeds to Operation Homefront- a charity that supports the families of American soldiers from every branch of the armed forces. So everyone (over 18 years old of course) is invited to come down to Decatur, collect a piece of American history and help support the folks who make our way of life possible.
After you get tattooed, stay in Decatur for the parade and fireworks!

It was my first experience with the collaborative process and I can’t wait to try it again. From start to finish, Nate and I collaborated on the concept, design, outline, shading, color scheme, and the textural details.
